Orders & Production
All items are made to order
Every product at The Steeplechase is custom-made and personalized upon order. We do not carry pre-made inventory. Production begins once your order and personalization details are confirmed. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that your item is being custom-produced specifically for you.
Production time
Standard production time is 1-3 business days. Rush options are available at checkout - Same Day Production (engraved within the same business day) and Next Day Production (completed within one business day). Rush options affect engraving speed only and do not change shipping speed.
Order changes and cancellations
You have 1-2 hours after placing your order to request changes or cancellations. Once engraving has begun or the item has been sent to production, we cannot make modifications and the order cannot be cancelled. To request a change, contact us immediately at info@steeplechaseshop.com.
Personalization & Engraving
Customer responsibility for spelling
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all personalization text submitted with your order. Please double-check spelling, dates, and names before submitting. We engrave exactly what you provide. Errors submitted by the customer are not eligible for free replacements, refunds, or chargebacks.
Engraving previews
We typically engrave based on your submitted text without sending a preview. If you need a preview before production, contact us before placing your order. Failure to request a preview before ordering does not constitute grounds for a refund or chargeback.
Engraving quality
All engraving is done with professional laser equipment in the United States. The engraving is permanent and will not fade, wash off, or wear over time. Minor natural variations in laser engraving results due to material characteristics do not constitute a defect.
Shipping
Shipping times
Most orders are delivered within 3-5 business days after production. Total delivery time is typically 4-8 business days. Shipping carriers may experience delays outside of our control - exact delivery dates are not guaranteed and do not constitute grounds for a refund or chargeback.
Incorrect shipping address
Please ensure your shipping address is correct before placing your order. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, the buyer is responsible for all reshipping costs. This does not constitute grounds for a refund or chargeback.
International orders
Buyers are responsible for any customs fees, import taxes, or duties that may apply. These charges are not included in the product or shipping price and are beyond our control. Refusal to pay customs fees resulting in a returned package does not entitle the buyer to a refund.
Damaged Orders & Returns
Damaged or incorrect orders
If your order arrives damaged or with an engraving error on our part, contact us within 3 days of delivery at info@steeplechaseshop.com and include photos. Once verified, we will send a replacement at no cost. Claims submitted after 3 days may not be accepted.
No returns on custom items
Because all items are custom-made and personalized, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for buyer's remorse, incorrect personalization submitted by the customer, or change of mind. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and accept this policy. Initiating a chargeback for these reasons may be disputed by us with full documentation of your order and these terms.
Chargeback Policy
Dispute resolution
Before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company, you agree to contact us first at info@steeplechaseshop.com to allow us to resolve the issue. We respond within 1 business day and are committed to resolving genuine problems fairly.
Fraudulent chargebacks
Filing a chargeback for a delivered, correctly-produced custom item constitutes fraud. We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback with full documentation including order details, personalization submitted by the customer, production records, and shipping confirmation. We may also pursue recovery of disputed amounts and associated fees through available legal channels under Texas law.
Intellectual Property
Customer-submitted designs and logos
By submitting a custom logo, image, or design for engraving, you represent and warrant that you own or have full legal rights to use that design, and that it does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights. The Steeplechase engraves customer-submitted content in good faith and is not responsible for any copyright or trademark infringement resulting from customer-provided artwork.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Steeplechase, its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your submission of infringing content; or (c) your use of our products in violation of any applicable law.
Our intellectual property
All product designs, photos, logos, and content on steeplechaseshop.com are the property of The Steeplechase. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our content without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
Maximum liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Steeplechase's total liability for any claim arising from your purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Governing Law & Contact
Texas law applies
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas. By purchasing from us, you consent to this jurisdiction.

Bulk Orders
Group and wholesale orders
We offer discounts for orders of 10 or more items of the same product - ideal for groomsmen sets, weddings, and corporate gifts. Contact us before placing a bulk order to confirm pricing and timelines. All bulk orders are subject to these same Terms of Service.
